The "howto" of shopping in the nearby Illinois Fox Valley is changing FOREVER! TownTrust's goal is to list all of the 25,000+ local businesses in the Illinois Fox Valley shopping area and identify which businesses are preferred by local shoppers. TownTrust has been organized to help you shop! All businesses are listed within 310+ TYPES under 16 Major CATEGORIES. Some examples of TYPES might be like "fast foods" or "catering" (under Restaurants & Entertainment), or like "accountants" or "commercial realtors" (under Business & Professional), or like "lumber" or "landscaping" (under Home & Housing) where you would expect to find related business listings. Most businesses want to tell us shoppers what they do and why they are different from their competition. Shoppers can read testimonials from other shoppers about the businesses. And the businesses can help convince us that they want our business with substantial discounts or special service offers. Category Shopping : When you get to a CATEGORY page and select a TYPE, you will see the following town selector bar just below the TYPE header.

Clicking on the blue highlighted town will take you to the listings for that town. If the town is not blue, it just means that there are no posted listings yet for that town. Click on any highlighted town in the three column town header to return to the TYPE. Purple highlighted background links indicate there are preferred listings there. Find: Now if you stuck it out this far, the simplest way to shop is to enter the TYPE of business you are interested in the FIND search bar above the Navigation Menu just to the left of the page headline. Enter your interest (ie: "Plumbers") and click on the Find button. A list of all the pages that contain that subject will appear. Click on the one you think is right and the find engine will take you to that page. (Caution: Do not enter the town in the Find box. You will pick the town when you get to a TYPE within a CATEGORY.) Navigation Menu: There is a helpful menu on the upper left panel of the screen on every page. Click the activity described on the button, and it will take you to that page.
